You could just learn how to play a normal guitar
Curt and his folks at Curt Mangan Strings have to be one of the best companies I've ever worked with.
They sell strings direct (shipping is included), their prices are great, and they put together my Custom String Gauges for my 5ths Tuning!!!
Curt is committed to using the best materials and providing a consistant, affordable, quality product. Nobody, not D'Addario, GHS, Ernie Ball, or anyone other string manufacturer would take the time to put together a custom set of strings for me, even though I offered to buy in case quantities. Buying a set of guitar strings and bass strings just to throw half of them away was costing me an arm and a leg to restring my guitars.
The first three sets should arrive this week.

Spore... those just float in my mind while I play... otherwise my necks usually look like THIS:
Peek... Not at all. That's why I use the custom gauges. The TENSION of each string tuned to the pitch I'm looking for matches exactly. My strings are no more tight or yanking on the neck then a standard set of 10's.
ah, but of course!!
I forgot to take the tuning into account.
Ok.....carry on
